DATE NIGHT IN LAS VEGAS

After six years in the States, I finally had the chance to visit Las Vegas! It was a family trip with my husband and son, plus a couple of friends and their daughter, but I managed to find some time for a date night alone with the hubby!

We decided to spend it at the Aria Resort and Casino, which has a luxurious and vibrant vibe. There are plenty of dining options at the hotel, but I knew exactly where I wanted to go: Cathédrale.

Cathédrale Las Vegas is the second location of the famous French-Mediterranean restaurant in New York City. Chef Jason Hall paints a picture of the coastal cuisine of Southern France with brushstrokes of Italy, Spain, and Greece, all in a staggering setting. The attention to detail is evident not only in the food and impeccable service, but also in the interior, which reflects the layered urban decadence and grit of the brand, while celebrating the architectural drama, grandeur, and decorative flourish of the city.

Our dinner was superb. We started with the "La Caffe Vita" and "Adagio Per Miele" cocktails, followed by the warm dates filled with Roquefort cheese and almonds, and the yellowfin tuna cru. As mains, we had the black truffle fettuccine and the grilled branzino. And of course, no great dinner is complete without dessert, so we finished with the Sorrento Lemon and Paris-Brest.

I’ve enjoyed this remarkable fine dining experience wearing a black top from Zara, a miniskirt from Banana Republic, and black suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi.
